Shudarshan is a seasoned Machine Learning Engineer with a Master of Artificial Intelligence and a Bachelor of Technology in Mechatronics Engineering. He is certified by OpenCV and passionate about translating complex AI concepts into practical, impactful solutions. His professional contributions are primarily in computer vision, where he has engineered a diverse range of projects using real-time CCTV footage and edge devices like embedded systems and drones. This experience has led to the development of a real-time action recognition pipeline for elderly care and an innovative LLM-based agent for orchestrating computer vision tools and Vision Language Models. During his university tenure, his projects earned significant recognition, including the Best Innovation/Research Award and the People's Choice Award at the UTS AI Showcases. Beyond his project work, Shudarshan also serves as a Casual Academic Tutor at the University of Technology Sydney, where he mentors students in Data Analytics, Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning. He is particularly interested in the intersection of AI with augmented and virtual reality, with a specific focus on 3D computer vision. His skills are a direct contribution to ARIA's work on creating cutting-edge spatial computing and AI solutions to empower people living with vision disabilities. He is excited to apply his knowledge to develop solutions that advance ARIA's mission of transforming visual information into a rich, three-dimensional auditory landscape.
